Small ways to save big money are hard to come by, or are they? Through a number of loyalty & rewards programs, you can see big savings from things you already spend money on. Below are a few examples of loyalty programs, and ways to take advantage of the benefits they provide.

Cash back programs

Walmart savings catcher – Are you an avid Walmart customer? If so, don’t miss out on easy cash back with the Walmart savings catcher tool. You can save big money just by shopping for your normal products at Walmart, scanning your receipt and getting cash back on anything Walmart finds for a lower price at a different store. This tool will not make you rich but, the cash can build up to get you some nice savings on your next Walmart trip.

Ebates – Sign up for Ebates and earn cash back on things you were already planning to buy online. Ebates receives a commission from stores and splits the commission with you for using the program.

Ibotta – Download the Ibotta app, find deals that are offered for where you shop, travel and dine out. Just take a picture of your receipt and upload it to earn real money back for your purchases! Another great way to save big money on so many things you already buy.

Store Loyalty Programs

Tons of stores now have store rewards programs where you can save additonal money and get rewarded for shopping, and a lot of them are free!

Kohl’s Yes2You Rewards is a free program.
You earn one point for every dollar you spend.
You get a $5 reward when you reach 100 points. The program also offers opportunities for bonus points and a birthday gift.(where to sign up)

Nordstrom Notes is a free program.
You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. You can redeem 2,000 for $20 that can be used in store or on-line at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and HauteLook.(where to sign up)

Walgreens Balance Rewards is a free customer loyalty program.
You earn points on everything you buy. The points can add up to some great savings on future Walgreens purchases. The program also gives you coupon offers that will be printed at checkout for you to use on future purchases.(where to sign up)

Ulta has a three tier rewards program. The first level is an Ultamate member if you spend less than $450 per calendar year at Ulta this is your level. You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend at Ulta. You also receive a free birthday gift and double points during your birthday month.
The second level is a Platinum level. If you spend at least $450 per calendar year at the store you will earn 1.25 point for every dollar you spend. You will also receive the birthday gift, double points during your birthday month and a $10 birthday coupon.
The third level is a Diamond level. If you spend at least $1,200 per calendar year at Ulta you will receive 1.5 points for every dollar you spend. You will receive all the Platinum-level perks. Additionally, you will receive free shipping when you spend $25, and you get a $25 beauty service card every year.

Hotel Rewards Programs

Goes without saying that basically every hotel chain in the world has some form of a loyalty program, and if they don’t, stay elsewhere. These programs are great ways to save big money as you travel. Major brands like Marriott, Hilton, Choice, Hyatt, IHG and Wyndam each offer tiered reward member status, allowing you to earn points for each night that you stay.

Depending on your hotel brand of choice, you are able to redeem those points for free stays, and in some cases even buy merchandise through online shopping portals. This is aside from the above and beyond service you will receive as a Elite Rewards member. If you travel at all, hotel loyalty programs are a must.
